MISSION
Our mission is to encourage and empower individuals, families and communities to foster positive healthy lifestyles. This involves the balance of mental, emotional, physical and the spiritual aspects of life.
OUR SERVICES:
· Intake: Gathering personal data and referral (from Physicians, hospitals, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, schools, agencies and self-referrals).
· Limits of Confidentiality and its’ Explanation: Consent for Treatment, Consent for Release of Information if applicable.
· Maintain confidential records of client progress.
· Mental Health Assessments includes: Presenting problems/symptoms, history of problems, family history (e.g.: psychosis, substance abuse, emotional, physical or sexual abuse), counselor’s impressions, treatment plans and goals.
· Counselling and Empowerment: Crisis and Suicide Intervention, one on one individual, family, group, and substance abuse counseling, debriefing, pre-treatment in addictions and follow-up.
· Provide ongoing support, home visits and other related duties as required for clients and their families to help them develop skills and strategies in dealing with their issues. Provide support during wakes, funerals and crisis.
· Referring for further specialized assessments and treatments (e.g. FASD, Child Psychiatry etc.)
· Consultation, Referrals and Case Reviews: As needed.
· Address Mental Health issues by facilitating workshops, presentations, etc. for the benefit of all community members.
· Group Facilitation and Sharing Circles
· Work closely with client’s families, physicians, psychologists and other health providers.
· Advocate for clients regarding different issues they deal with daily such as, (medical, education, housing, financial issues etc.)
· Continue working with Elders as helpers and leaders when dealing with community members.
· Training and Professional Development: To continue the highest standard of Mental Health Care.
· Mental Health works closely with the NNADAP staff through a referral system.
· Mental Health collaborates with NNADAP staff in providing workshops and other community events in the communities of Wabasca, Desmarais and Calling Lake.

Calling Lake Office: Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Dr. Stan Mylnzcak works out of the Wabasca office every second Wednesday and Thursday also every second Friday in Calling Lake.
